WA Marine Debris Project 2018

WA Marine Debris Project 2018

Join hundreds of volunteers gathering across Western Australia, to look after our beautiful coastlines, waterways and marine life.

Hillarys Beach Cleaner

Keep Australia Beautiful and Tangaroa Blue are calling on citizen scientists, schools, community groups, corporate groups and all ocean lovers to participate in the 2018 Marine Debris Project. Formerly named the WA Beach Clean-up Event, the new name reflects the important role of data collection in the clean-up process. The clean-up data you collect will help us track litter to its source and prevent it from entering the waste stream and harming our environment and marine life. All materials, volunteer insurance and logistical support will be provided, all we need is lots of energy and many hands to help remove marine debris from the coast.

We will be co-hosting an event with Tangaroa Blue on Saturday 13 October at 8.30am at Bathers Beach in Fremantle. We will meet in front of Kidogo.
