Keep Australia Beautiful Week

kab week

Keep Australia Beautiful (KAB) Week is held in August and is a time to raise awareness about the simple things we can all do in our daily lives to reduce our impact on the environment and encourage action to reduce litter.

We encourage all Western Australians to consider how they can participate in KAB Week and be role models for their families, friends and communities.

In 1972, Keep Australia Beautiful Week was born. To celebrate the occasion, the then Prime Minister Gough Whitlam released a historical video 'Live Without Litter. His words resonate with us all still today.
